Steel Panther brings their night of rowdy fun back to the Roxian

For their Twenty-Twenty-Sex Tour, Steel Panther brought Cody Parks and the Dirty South to open Sunday’s show. Based in Nashville, Cody Parks riled up the crowd with their country twang over heavy beats. Their distinctly 80’s metal inspired sound backing catchy lyrics was a treat to early arriving fans, and their high energy performance makes it obvious why they’ve been gaining momentum with both metal and country fans.

This visit saw Steel Panther bringing more energy than ever to their show, supplementing their antics with a pair of professional pole dancers for many of their songs throughout the evening. The night featured all of the fan-favorites, interspersed with plenty of banter and good-natured ribbing between members. Mid-set Steel Panther invited a woman from the crowd to be serenaded on stage, followed by filling the stage with fans eager to shake their assets on stage with the band. 

Pittsburgh, which fans recently voted by fans online to be the “most metal” city on the tour, always shows up for Steel Panther. Many fans come dressed in their glam-rock-best, or in merch from many of the previous tours. The band clearly appreciates the support, bringing their highest energy and spending extra time making the crowd feel special. The love between Steel Panther and the Steel City will be going strong for years to come.
