The night kicked off with Charlotte Sands, opening up with “Tantrum” and bouncing around the stage really getting the crowd going and the energy flowing. The dynamic duo Charlotte and Danen continued that energy with songs “Bad Day”, “Special”, “Every Guy Ever” and “Keep Me Up All Night” before closing out their set with "Dress". Charlotte Sands recently released her album “Love and Other Lies” on January 21st, you can purchase a signed copy here!
Canadian-American rock band Palaye Royale took the stage next. They kicked off their set with “Nightmares” off their 2020 album “The Bastards”. Within the first few songs singer Remington Leith jumped into the crowd to sing and interact with the fans. Keeping the crowd going with songs “You’ll Be Fine” (off their 2018 record “Boom Boom Room (Side B)”), “Hang on to Yourself”, “Fucking With My Head”, “Get Higher” (off their 2016 album “Boom Boom Room (Side A)”) and “Lonely”. Towards the end of their set the band played a cover of My Chemical Romance’s single “Teenagers” and the crowd lost it before finishing their set with “Mr. Doctor Man”. Closing out the night a Kabuki drop revealed Yungblud. Once Dominic took the stage the energy and excitement in the crowd did not stop. He opened with “strawberry lipstick” off his 2020 release “weird!”, followed by “parents”, “superdeadfriends”, “i love you, will you marry me”. His interaction with the crowd kept you connected with everyone throughout the whole night. There was never a dull moment with him bouncing around on stage and kissing bandmates. The crowd was going crazy, nonstop movement, crowd surfers and pits. Continuing his set with “anarchist”, “mars”, “weird!”, “fleabag”, “ice cream man” and “lonely”. During his set he took a moment to tell everyone to look at their neighbors and scream “I FUCKING LOVE YOU!”. Before going into “kill somebody” Dominic took a moment to acknowledge how crazy it felt for him to have a little family over here in the states that support him and each other, after he jumped right into “I Think I’m Okay” a song in collaboration with MGK and Travis Barker. After a piano appeared and Dominic sat to play “teresa”, another single off his 2020 album “weird!”. For the encore a sign was brought out that read “You want more, get your lights up”. Dominic ran out and “Doctor Doctor” off his 2018 debut studio album “21st Century Liability” started playing and a pit formed. He played “god save me, but don't drown me out” before finishing out the night with “Machine Gun (F**k the NRA)”. After his set Dominic invited fans to meet up by the buses. Tour just started so I definitely recommend catching a show while he’s in the states, check out the remaining tour dates here! Review/Photo By: Cheyenne Simmons
