What inspired you to start music?
All four of us have always been around music, it was always in the house. Music was always playing and it always made us feel good. So we figured if we’re always making music we’ll always feel good!
What is the message you want to get across as a band?
TLT has a message of staying true to yourself and never letting go of your dreams. We’ve referenced in many songs about how the “normal” just isn’t for us. If you wanna be in a band, do it. If you wanna be an astronaut, do it!
What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
Recording with Rian right after we headlined a stage at the Great South Bay Music Festival is still really up there for us. We are still so grateful we got to do both of those things.
To follow the last question, what is your next big goal as a band?
To branch out to the west coast on tour! That’s the next big move I think! Maybe do a tour with a bigger band as well!
What has your writing process been like?
It’s always an idea that gets bounced back and forth. It’s funny cause the songs change so much from when they first start being written to when they finally get recorded. I (Mike) usually come up with an idea and pass it to Eddie and then Zach and Cody add there flair and it becomes a TLT song!
What can we look forward to from you all in 2019?
I can't say too much yet, but I will tell you that 2019 is going to be a good year for TLT. Lots of fun stuff planned!
Is there anything you would like to tell our readers and your fans?
Always be yourself and always love! Thanks for everything and long live the DBK!
