Leaving Eden Lineup: Eve Lead Vocals, Alyssa Bailey White Keys and Vocals, Jake Gynan Drums, Eric Gynan Guitars and Vocals, Rich Chouinard Bass and Vocals
How did the band come to be?
Hi, I’m Eric Gynan, Cofounder of the Rock band Leaving Eden from New England USA. Myself and Eve are the founding members, though we did play with Rick the year before. But it was time to start a new band. So Leaving Eden, like the planet is the garden now filled with so much deceit and corruption, wouldn’t it be nice to go somewhere else and get away for a little bit.
Do you have any releases coming up in the new year?
We have quite a few things coming out in 2020. Leaving Eden is about to release our 7th Album Titled: “Dream With Me” which is also the Title Track to be released world wide and distributed by Dark Star Records/Sony/Universal.
In this album we got the best of both worlds by recording in Leaving Eden’s studio, being able to take time and produce the album, then passing the ball on to Grammy Award Winning Engineer Johnny K. (Disturbed, Staind, Finger Eleven, 3 Doors Down, Megadeath, Sevendust, Plain White T’s, POP Evil, Trapt, Drowning Pool, Alien Ant Farm, and many more) for Final Mix and Mastering is my dream scenario. He’s a genuine connoisseur of great music with so much talent, it’s such a pleasure to work with.
Tracks from this album and other Leaving Eden albums will be featured in Massimiliano Cerchi’s movies: Painkiller, Mayday, Lockdown and Penthouse starring Michael Pare (The Philadelphia Experiment, Eddie and the Cruisers). We are excited about this new album also, because the entire album and lots of tunes from our previous albums will also be featured in a new fake reality comedy movie titled “The Nitwit”
Originally I had written The Nitwit movie script loosely based on real life events with the intention of having Leaving Eden’s music throughout the movie and procuring other pros to make the movie. While in Iowa after wrapping up on a shoot I sat down with Nitwit Movie Producer, Ray Van Blarcom and Actor, Matt Moody and he then brought in Actor, Jordan Smith as his costar, then Nitwit Movie Producer, Fran Huges joined the crew and the rest is history. We expect the movie to be released in 2020 by SGL Entertainment.”
What is something you want listeners to take away from your music?
Our music, specifically the lyrics, are based upon reality, with a twist. There’s always a twist. I think some of our songs communicate the struggle between good and evil. The music is full of energy, a good beat and interesting lyrics.

With everything that is going on in our world what is one cause or organization that you are passionate about?
We’ve done so many benefits and we love raising money for VFW’s and another one we really like to help out with is cancer. We’ve played so many cancer benefits. A lot of times people’s insurance doesn’t cover all the costs not to mention the time out of work so def dear to our hearts and great question.
What is your writing process like?
I might have some scotch or something else kind of get in a meditative state, and just listen to the universe. I end up hearing completed songs or it might happen in a dream. It definitely comes from elsewhere. It's hard for me to even take credit because it’s already done. My job is just to get it recorded in some kind of audio form.
To follow up with the last question, what inspires your sound?
Well again I got to say the universe because I’m hearing it completely produced in my mind's eye.
