‘Alive, a Lie’ is a hollow and introspective ballad about the journey of life. If there’s one thing we know, it’s that life isn’t always easy. ‘Alive, a Lie’ taps into this pain and puts it all into lyrics. Each breathy verse and drawn out note plays into the struggle. But while it gives off this sense of pain, it also has flecks of recovery. Toward the end of the song, there’s a brightness that mimics finding the light. There’s a feeling of hope, of inspiration. This is a song meant to be sung when you’re alone in your room and feeling down. This song allows you to wallow in your sadness, but also find the strength to start over. The song has a slight country twang and an Avril Lavigne style. It’s not quite indie, but it’s not pop or rock either. Arsnk’s ‘Alive, a Lie’ has something for everyone, whether you need to recharge or are looking for some help. You can find ‘Alive, a Lie’ on most streaming platforms now.
