LIVE MUSIC IS BACK! Between The Buried And Me played a sold out show at Mr. Smalls Theater on August 15th. The crowd roared when the band took the stage to begin their two part set. This being my first show in over a year due to covid had emotions high. The feeling of being surrounded by people singing at the top of their lungs and coming together again after the hell we’ve all been through this past year was indescribable. People of all ages coming together to enjoy a night of live music is something I truly missed.
The band definitely put on a great show, engaging with the crowd and matching everyone's vibes. They kept a great pace throughout the show, mixing slower songs with fast upbeat songs kept the show feeling fresh. Seeing the excitement the band had on stage transfer into the crowd was a sight to see. Nothing beats seeing a huge pit open up in the middle of an old church. My favorite moment of the night was seeing a little kid sitting up on their parent’s shoulders rocking out to the show. It’s always amazing to see kids falling in love with music.
