Bring Me The Horizon | Show Review

Bring Me The Horizon tore up Pittsburgh’s Northshore on May 7th with their killer performance, accompanied by British rapper Scarlxrd. This band is one I’ve been dying to see for years now, the last time they came to this side of the pond there wasn’t a show for a few hundred miles and I’m glad this time around they decided to start it off right in my own backyard of Pittsburgh. The band brought on Scarlxrd as their opening act, don’t get me wrong I was skeptical as to why a rock band would bring a rapper on a major headlining tour with them. But I soon came to find out exactly why. Scarlxrd hyped up the crowd so much and honestly was a great performer to see. I was expecting for him to come out and sound like the “traditional” rapper you would think of, wrong, he came out and I would describe his style as a rock version of rap. I highly recommend checking him out. Then it was time everyone was waiting for BMTH came out on stage and immediately jumped into the swing of things, playing new song off their most recent album AMO and old crowd favorites they rocked the house. The crowd was so full of energy and quite a few circle pits. At one point Oli invited fans to crowd serf to the front and if you made it he would personally high-five you, that sent a wave of people overhead trying to make it to the front. The whole show was a sight to see and if you have the chance definitely try to make it to one of their upcoming shows this summer!
