The song that has been played at his shows for awhile now has officially been released on Spotify, and as you can imagine, the lyrics are raunchy. “Rockstar” is about Call Me Karizma’s, whose real name is Morgan Parriott, journey of becoming a literal rockstar. In the song, he talks about getting and sleeping with girls, not having to wait in line at any clubs and how people who used to make fun or not hang around him are now wanting to be “guestlisted” at his shows. The song is apart of Parriott’s recent EP, “The Gloomy Tapes, Vol. 1,” which has a total of 6 songs and one commentary on one of them. The song that has a commentary is called “Johnny,” and is about a kid who is bullied at school because he is “different,” and ends up bringing a gun to school. While “Rockstar” is certainly raunchy but makes it on our summer playlists, other songs like “Johnny” are more serious and shed light on subjects that are so hard to talk about. “The Gloomy Tapes, Vol. 1” is streaming on Spotify now, be sure to go listen!
