Candlebox at Jannus Live St. Petersburg, FL

It’s rarely cold in Florida, especially St. Pete. But when Candlebox rolled into town last night, Floridians bundled up and brought their 90s-loving selves down to Jannus Live, which I should note, is an outdoor venue. As their backdrop stated, the band formed in 1993 and after a six year hiatus starting in 2000, have been touring and releasing new material. Playing a mix of old and new, the crowd, which was an all-ages show, jumped and sang along with lead singer Kevin Martin. Martin established a great connection with the audience, noting a ten-year-old girl who was carrying a sign that read that this was her first concert. I think Martin and company gave her a great memory for her and the rest of St. Pete.
