Carousel Kings an easycore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvaniawho just released their fourth album ‘Charm City’ in February;preformed at The Smiling Moose in Pittsburgh on Friday June 9th. After returning from their Japan tour the band decided to play a few headlining shows before they set off this summer for the Vans Warped Tour. Although the venue wasn’t huge it was full with some great fans, as the band took the stage it seemed as though more people showed up to see them. Carousel Kings rocked the stage, one of the best bands I’ve seen live by far. They took the stage with so much energy straight from the start and only slowed down for a song or two then picked everything right back up again. Once the band finished their initial set listthey gave some time to take a few requests from fans and do a cover of Rick Springfield’s “Jesse’s Girl”. Once the set was over, everyone got together for a group photo and they started packing up. Of course once everything was away the boys came over to talk and take individual picture with the fans. If you don’t have it already you should pick up their latest album and go out and support them in this summer’s heat.
