Singer-songwriter J. Scott is a native of Jacksonville, FL. Born Javon Scott, the classically trained vocalist discovered his love for music at a young age, through his experiences singing in church and classical choirs. He released his debut EP “Call Me When You Get This” in 2018. Scott’s cited inspirations include Kelis, Brandy, and Stevie Wonder. His collection of songs captures the full essence of the Pop and R&B spirit, as he sonically channels his musical influences and blends a delicate mix of old-school melodies over new school sounds. Scott devotes himself entirely to his craft and never gives up in the face of adversity. As an openly gay male, the vocalist acknowledges the challenges he may endure in the music industry. He encourages his supporters (aka the #ScottieHotties) to have faith in their gifts and pursue their dreams with full force because anything is possible. Scott has worked extensively over the length of two years to focus on new music, experiment with different approaches, and expand his distinct sound. Fans have been anxiously anticipating the release of new material and his fresh single “edibles” proves the delay was well worth it. The slow jam infuses trap elements, poignant electric guitar, and piercing, soulful vocals.

J. Scott recalls “I had the idea of writing a song called ‘edibles’ coming back from LA Pride last year. That dream manifested one night in one of my most memorable sessions where myself and a good friend had one too many magical cookies and created an audio moment.” The single “edibles” provides only a sample taste of what to expect from Scott’s new material and leads to his follow-up sophomore release. Be sure to check out J. Scott’s new EP “Adoration” that recently dropped on June 26, 2020.
