Japanese metalcore band, Sailing Before The Wind, have a new single out on May 28th! The anticipated single, “Break the Silence", is a re-recording of an original track from the bands 2nd EP “A Ray of Light" which was released in 2012. In celebration of the band's 10th anniversary, original founding members Kneeya (vocalist) and Takaya (guitarist) have reunited to feature on this track. Bitoku Sakamoto, the bands only constant member and ex touring bassist for Crystal Lake, has recorded, produced and mastered this new song.
Break the Silence has beautiful riffs building up to Kneeya’s screaming vocals and breakdowns that will make you want to throw yourself back into a mosh pit. The opening melody to the song sounds like what you’d expect to hear in the build up to a boss in a video game, exciting and full of anticipation of what’s to come next. The lyrics are powerful, meaningful and literally say to “shout out loud", as the singer screams throughout the song about not giving up.
In comparison to the original track, the new version sounds cleaner and more refined. The vocals in the original version of Break the Silence sound a bit deeper and rough compared to the new version. Sailing Before The Wind often feature twin guitar leads and metal riffs leading up to badass breakdowns across their tracks, paired with screaming vocals, thus creating songs that are enjoyable for true metalcore fans. The band has released 6 EPs and 3 Singles since their debut in 2011.
You will be able to enjoy the re-recorded version of Break the Silence from May 28th 2021 across streaming platforms worldwide!
