Supporting her recently released album Immunity, Clairo made a stop in Syracuse, NY last week. Immunity dropped this past August, serving as her debut album on a major record label. Clairo actually attended Syracuse University in 2017 too, so it was fun to be able to see her rip a sold out gig at the Westcott Theater.

Opening the show was indie/R&B act Hello Yello. Having only been releasing music since last fall, the Oregon three piece brought a nice vibe to the stage. They all moved around quite a bit, which added quite a bit to the visual aspect of their performance.

Next on the bill was beabadoobee. I liked her a lot, I enjoyed the softness of her voice quite a bit. I felt her style was fairly similar to Rex Orange County. The crowd was immersed in the chilled out vibe she spread throughout the Westcott that night.

Finally, Clairo was up. As she emerged onto the stage, he fans shouted her name and screamed in anticipation. With her, she carried a giant crescent shaped LCD, which flashed various colors and images throughout her set. Although she mainly stayed in place, her voice captivated the audience, roaring through the theater. The crowd was immensely responsive, enjoying every second of her twenty song setlist. The vibe she carried was unlike anything I have previously seen at Westcott; it was the kind of set you could close your eyes and just wind down.
