Dead Posey are a wedded rock duo, comprising Danyell Souza (vocalist/producer) and Tony F. (guitarist/producer/multi-instrumentalist). Based out of Los Angeles, they experienced their musical breakthrough in 2018 with standout track “Don’t Stop The Devil” and the release of their debut EP “Freak Show.” The couple recently dropped their second EP “Malfunction” with a corresponding music video for their new single “Parasite.” A variety of sonic influences can be detected in their distinct sound, reminiscent of artists that range from Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and The Kills. The new material presents a darker tone, with the four songs showcasing a sharper industrial edge.

Opening track “Head Of The Snake” charges forward relentlessly with powerful perseverance:
“Little girl, hush your mouth / But mama said I could wear the crown. /
Bruised and scarred, I won’t let down. / Got a voice I’m usin’ now.”

“Parasite” infects the mind with an addictive chorus:
“I’ll bleed out your sickness, to let in the light. / Oh dead or alive, I’ll get you out of my sight / You’re a parasite.”

“Bad Things” features lyrical references to superstitions, voodoo magic, and black cats:
“Bad things come in threes, Bad luck always seems to find me. /
Black cat walkin’ right beside me /  Knock on wood, but I’m still jinxed.”

The EP concludes with the sultry “Holy Roller”:
“When you’re lookin’ over your shoulder, see the darkness comin’ right for ya… /
Bring you down like a holy roller.”

Dead Posey draws inspiration from the likes of David Lynch, Edgar Allan Poe, Salvador Dali, and Jim Morrison. The two members have crafted a world of their own twisted design that illustrates their dynamic force together. Souza slays with her intense vocal delivery, exhibiting her potent range throughout the four tracks. The compositions are rawfully fueled by enthralling melodies, introspective themes, haunting lyrics, and a visceral production. Dead Posey conjures up a captivating spell in “Malfunction” that bewitches their audience with the duo’s chaotic sound and leaves them wanting more.
