Four Chord is a one-day music festival held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the past six years. This year the festival featured bigger acts such as Simple Plan and Real Friends. The festival is put on every year by a member of Pittsburgh natives Eternal Boy. The day started out with a wrestling match, something you don’t really see at your typical festival. After the match the BMX activities started up, sponsored by Monster Energy a group of about 4-5 people spent the next good bit of the day doing flips and tricks drawing in a good crowd of people. The music started around 2pm and played across two stages. At this point crowd was ready to get the party started, this was the first time I seen such a big crowd cheering for the opening band and singing along. Throughout the day it only got bigger and more hyped up, although there was a high chance of rain that day nobody seemed too worried about the dark clouds overhead. The show continued as the large crowd shuffled back and forth between the two stages. The show closed out with Simple Plan that night and boy was it a sight to see. The crowd had packed the parking lot by this point and there were crowd surfers galore. The rain held out until half way through their set, that is went hell let loose, but it did not stop the fans or the show. The show must always go on. All in all I would highly suggest coming out next year to check it out, the festival did not disappoint and you can truly see all the hard work that everyone put it to make it happen.
