Frank Iero and the Future Violents | Show Review

There is nothing like going to see one of the people who is responsible for getting you to where you are today. I had the privilege of see Frank Iero and his band Frank Iero and The Future Violents play here in Pittsburgh. As many know Frank was a member of one of the most well known American rock bands of the early 2000's My Chemical Romance. It was good to see him still following his passion for music and MCR's break-up in 2013. Him and his band carry a unique sound which i believes gives them something to bring to this alternative scene. They preformed songs from his first album post-MCR to the most recent releases, they even preformed a song that his daughter wrote to bug her sister. It was great getting to see so many people at this show, fans from back in the day to fans today all mixing together to share a love a music. After the show i had the chance to speak with the artist that performed before them and it was neat to find out that him and Frank had been friends for years and that he was an unseen member for MCR's past too; he made note of his contribution to the Black Parade album and his iconic first notes on the title track. Over all the show was great, I strongly suggest seeing them perform any chance you get!
