Journey and Def Leppard | show Review
What’s normally a baseball stadium was turned into a makeshift concert venue for two of the most arguably well-known rock bands: Journey and Def Leppard. Fans, mostly older but some younger mixed into the crowds, made their way into the venue for a show that would be truly unforgettable. Cheap Trick opened the show with their high energy and upbeat instrumental tracks. Concert attendees were feeling the music whether they danced in their seats, stood up or recorded it on their phones to watch later. After Cheap Trick, Def Leppard took the stage, and that is when the crowd went wild. A nearly 44,000 capacity venue was packed with people who sang song after song with Def Leppard. Songs that were performed included “Photograph,” “Love Bites,” “Hysteria,” and everyone’s classic favorite, “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” The energy didn’t stop with Def Leppard. After a brief intermission, Journey took the stage and brought back the energy. Delivering a 19 song set, two guitar solos, a piano solo and a drum solo, Journey knew how to keep the crowd entertained. Along with Def Leppard, Journey also played crowd favorites which kept the crowd rowd up throughout the rest of the concert. These songs included “Be Good to Yourself,” “Who’s Crying Now,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Wheel in the Sky,” and a favorite of fans of all ages, “Don’t Stop Believin’” Even though the band experienced some minor technical issues with their audio, it didn’t stop fans from having a good time.
