For the first time in what seems like weeks, the sun was finally shining down on Chicago just in time for the Lights concert at the House of Blues. Fans were already lined up around the building in the primary colored outfits for Lights’ “Baby I’m Back” Tour.
It was a small but mighty line led off with Tillie. I must say, Tillie is the most adorable, "potty mouth” singer I've seen live and it was amazing. Tillie was constantly engaging with the crowd and making sure they remembered who she was with her stellar voice and extremely catchy lyrics and melodies, such from her recent single “The Me U Kno". Tillie puts out a super energetic performance that easily got the crowd going.
I’ll be honest, I haven’t heard too many Lights songs prior to seeing this show… and damn... I’ve been missing out. Live, Lights puts out a stellar performance from beginning to end. The energy she gives in her performance is contagious. It’s no wonder why she has such a loyal following with her amazing voice and extremely catchy hooks and drops. She started off her performance with “Prodigal Daughter” off her most recent album “PEP.” And she didn’t disappoint fans and played some of her most popular songs such as “Giants,” “Love Me,” and “When the Summer Dies.”
I wasn’t listening before, but I definitely am now.
Be sure to catch one of her upcoming shows!
