Modest Mouse Rocks The North Shore At Stage AE

What’s an outdoor show without a little rain? Modest Mouse and Empath rocked Pittsburgh’s North Shore at Stage AE on August 18th. The show started out with Philadelphia punk band Empath. They warmed up the crowd with a mix of their trippy and fuzzed out unique sound. They are definitely a band worth checking out further. 

After a quick break Modest Mouse took the stage and the crowd cheered. It was so great to see Stage AE come alive again with the sound of music and cheering. Part way through their set someone blew up a blue polka dot balloon and thus began the largest game of keep the balloon up I've ever seen. It’s funny to think this one balloon can bring a group of strangers such joy. The night went on and the crowd only intensified, and the amount of balloons grew. Modest Mouse can definitely put on a show and get a crowd going.

Modest Mouse will be on tour now through October 24th. They are definitely a show worth catching if they are passing through your city. Check out a list of upcoming shows below.
