 “Strawberry Pie” is a pop hit by young artist Arden Alexa that tells the story of a turbulent relationship and breakup and the journey to being okay following it.
The new track is Alexa’s first release of the new year following her 2022 EP “Day Dreams.” Here's what she had to say about the songwriting process: "It wasn’t until four years after meeting my first love that I was actually able to write a song about him. When I sat down to write Strawberry Pie, I knew I wanted the song to recreate all the playful, fun, youth of that relationship while simultaneously conveying the sarcastic hurt following our breakup. Just as this song was a cathartic experience for me to write, I hope listeners can use it as both an ironic “getting over you” song and a freeing, joyful anthem". The artist from San Francisco, CA takes a lot of her inspiration from pop icons like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry and you can definitely hear that inspiration throughout her recent releases. “Strawberry Pie” shows off a more modern side of Alexa while keeping her same fun, sunny personality that you can hear in her older releases.
