The Sick Tour came through the Northshore of Pittsburgh on May 25th at Stage AE. The tour featured some amazing artist such as: William Ryan Key formally of Yellowcard, The Movielife, Bayside and of course headlining the whole thing New Found Glory. Starting off the show right William Ryan Key warmed up the crowd with songs off his recently released EP Thirteen available for purchase on his website. But of course the crowd wouldn’t let him leave without playing at least on Yellowcard Song, so to end his set everyone rocked out to Ocean Avenue. The Movielife’s set was next, their whole set was nothing less than great. They have a new record out ‘Cities In Search Of A Heart’ that is available to stream or download at https://RiseRecords.lnk.to/movielife.
After their set ending it was time for Bayside, once they took the stage the crowd went wild. It was non-stop energy from begin to end. The fans were constantly jumping and singing along, and of course you need crowd participation so why not have a fan join the band on stage. Bayside have been making a consistent name for themselves in the New York punk scene and we know why. Finally it was time for the headliner. New Found Glory had the crowd in suspense then BAM! The whole venue went off with excitement. The band played crowd favorites and new songs off their most recent release ‘Makes Me Sick’. They too had crowd participation, the first time they brought a young lady up and brought out a wheel of songs for her to pick one and spin the wheel, for the first time all tour the spun song and the chosen song where the same. That made the whole crowd cheer, they then rocked out to the song and continued the show. Later in the set, two more fans were chosen to rock out on stage with them shortly before they finished their set. But of course there is the encore New Found Glory ran back on to stage with a rendition of Eye Of The Tiger before they closed out the show with My Friends Over You. Review by: Cheyenne Simmons
