Skillet is currently on a fall tour for their Aftermath tour and holy shit is it a killer production! For starters, Skillet has not played indoors for almost a year now, so I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the band except as always, an amazing stage presence but also some kick ass songs! Skillet came out and opened with “Feel Invincible” which had the crowd screaming! Next “Not Gonna Die”, where John reached his hand out to the crowd to shake fans hands which brought so much joy to them and you could tell from the expression hiding under their face mask. The best part though, is watching a cello player come out and play with Seth Morrison before heading up to a platform. The third song is definitely one of my favorite parts because as always, John Cooper put two C02 guns in his hands and blasted the crowd with smoke during “Sick of it” which is always a fan favorite, definitely a show staple! After a little bit, John gave a small speech about a new song they were debuting at the show called “Surviving the game” and fans loved it, especially when John said it would be releasing the next day at Midnight. After the excitement of a new song, Jen Ledger (Drummer) came down for her kit to sing the intro of “Awake and Alive” with John Cooper which was absolutely gorgeous to watch and hear from the crowd. Skillet ended up playing a sixteen song set including a seventeenth song was the encore which was “The Resistance”. Overall, Skillet brings it all to every show they do and play at! They are definitely a favorite band of mine to see and watch. I highly recommend checking them out while they are on tour this fall!
