San Francisco based band The Living recently released their 2nd full-length record “Drinking From The Trough of a Tyrant’s Piss”. The album is just as outrageous as it sounds. These avant-garde rockers aren’t afraid of anything. Instantly, there’s a medley of all different kinds of sounds and genres. It’s equal parts haunting and intriguing. The vocals are soft and have almost an opera tone, whereas the music is calculated and much heavier than the lyrics. The standout track on the album is ‘Vivaldi’. This song can only be described as what would happen if Queen had a metal mean streak. It’s unexpected, but not unwelcome. There’s a lot happening in this album, and it’s a lot to take in. But it is exceptional. If you aren’t afraid to branch out, this is the album for you. “Drinking From the Trough of a Tyrant’s Piss” is available now!
