New Jersey-based pop rock band The Ones You Forgot formed in 2014. Since their inception, the quintet has opened for several national touring acts, including Boys Like Girls, Never Shout Never, Emarosa, and Four Year Strong. The band lineup consists of Jenna Bruno (vocals), Matthew Thompson (guitar), Ferdinand Benauro (guitar), Justin Rodman (drums), and Lance Nelson (bass). Their discography includes a 2015 debut EP entitled “Peaks & Valleys”, sophomore EP “Too Afraid To Say”, and 2016 single “Make It Out Alive.” The members cite their musical influences, which include artists We Are The In Crowd, All Time Low, and State Champs. The group was selected to perform at the 25th anniversary of the Vans Warped Tour in Summer 2019. Since their Warped appearance, the band has focused on building their brand and writing new material, while still maintaining an active social media presence through Twitch and regular online streaming. The Ones You Forgot have returned with their first single in two years, “Something For Me.” This bouncy track showcases the band’s evolution with a new era of self-love, featuring insightful lyrics, an infectious hook, and earnest vocal melodies. The song’s theme is symbolized by the single artwork that cleverly utilizes daisy illustrations, a flower that represents purity and new beginnings. Sonically embracing pop-punk with emo elements, The Ones You Forgot have released a powerhouse track that embodies a vibrant message of strength and empowerment.

“Waiting for you to say you love me,
 For who I am, it’s crazy /
 I wish I could see,
That I just deserve better and that this won’t last forever /
 Why am I waiting,
I know there’s something for me.”

“Now it’s time to move along,
Take care of number one /
And I will be just fine,
I’ve learned to cut through the noise /
 I am deserving of joy,
 Even at my lowest.”
