The Phoenix Within have released a new single “Tenfold”. Based out of Queens, NY, the band’s lineup consists of Omar Feliciano (vocals), Nick Narlis (bass), John Narlis (guitar), and James Narlis (drums). This anthemic track hits hard as it explores the impact of words and how the commentary possesses the power to build you up or tear you down. The band’s musical influences can be easily perceived as the sound teleports you to the 90’s and early 2000’s rock scene, reminiscent of artists, such as: The Killers, Fall Out Boy, and Taking Back Sunday. Raw vocals and guitars dominate as they work together to convey the frustration and tension throughout the composition. “Tenfold” contains an aggressive energy that raises a strong message. Be aware of the weight that your words carry: “Darkness can’t drive out darkness / only light, only light can do that. / Hatred can’t drive out hatred / only love, only love can do that”.
