Pop punk band Lake Mosaic have released their new album "Perseverance," out on all digital streaming platforms NOW. Lake Mosaic, a 5-piece rock/punk outfit from Ann Arbor, Michigan, blends together elements of pop punk, easycore, and post hardcore to create their own tailored blend of rock. Lake Mosaic infuses their own fresh flavors into “Perseverance," making for an incredibly diverse record. About the album, the band states:
Perseverance is about overcoming the endless struggles in life and being determined to press onward. Everybody goes through painful times, and we want to show people that they’re not alone, that there are people out there who have your back. Pain has a purpose; how you learn from that pain makes you who you are.
The brainchild of lead guitarist Adam Whitener, Lake Mosaic was formed in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hailing from the Great Lakes state of Michigan, Lake Mosaic is a powerhouse of pop-punk, easycore, and Midwest emo. The addition of lead vocalist Matt Eble in the Fall of 2020 pushed the band into heavier territory, bringing an edge and intensity to their energetic brand of pop-punk.
All the members of Lake Mosaic bring long musical backgrounds and training to the group. Adam and Matt have played in bands ranging from metal to jazz and R&B, and they do most of the production for Lake Mosaic’s commercial releases. Classically-trained musicians Evan Zegiel (rhythm guitar), bassist Ben Merte, and drummer Anthony DeMartinis all hold at least one bachelor’s degree in music, and Evan and Anthony have earned graduate degrees. Their mixed musical backgrounds have led Lake Mosaic to write creative and unique songs which are pushing the boundaries of pop-punk into exciting new territory.
Lake Mosaic’s debut record “Perseverance” is slated for an early-2022 release, and it presents themes of recovery, self-determination, and healing after emotional trauma.
