Rändi Fay began her professional music career at an age where many come to think of retirement. After being forced to leave veterinarian school in 2001 due to injury, Fay continued to work for non-profit organizations but craved more.
She started to perform with local music groups in her hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin which led to music becoming a full-time endeavor by 2011. Performing, recording, and songwriting provided not only a vibrant creative outlet but also a chance to pursue her love of healing and connecting with others through music. Fast forward to today and Rändi is an award-winning songwriter and vocalist. Her approach to music can be attributed to a combination of early influences spanning decades and genres, from jazz standards, pop & rock classics, music theaters, camp songs to classical masterpieces. In 2019 she is establishing her niche in the contemporary sound symphonic electronica, co-created with partner Aaron, fusing the colorful intimacy of nostalgic artists, the tonal richness of jazz, the passion of classical orchestrations with the intense sonic spectrum of electronica. Rändi’s poetic lyrics and transcendent vocals set to dramatic production and melodies which captivate through the power of her new songs which will be released on the concept album, “Intuition,” on February 20, 2020. “Firefly,” is the first single released from the album. Fay says “It’s the critical opening song for our concept “synth opera” CD Intuition. It is a soul searching dive into the stressors we face in this material world. They say “write what you know,” well I found the lyric for this song pouring from my pen. I catch myself fighting to keep up with trends and appearances, frantically trying to stay relevant, to hang onto “the image of youth.” I know I am not alone, and there are social pressures everywhere to be magnified, retouched, colorized and polished version of ourselves, just to feel “good enough.” She continues “A firefly is an almost mythical creature, a blend of poetry, science, mystery, and instinct. But fireflies are in danger, as light pollution threatens their ability to communicate- the "noise" of the night sky is affecting their ability to find their mate. What a perfect metaphor for our crazy society. We are lost in keeping up with inflated expectations and physical ideals. If we can’t find our inner light through all of the noise, how can we attract others to our true shine? Finding ourselves is the key to finding love.” http://randifay.com/ https://www.facebook.com/randifaymusic Instagram: @randifaymusic Twitter:@randifaymusic Spotify: http://bit.ly/randifay-spotify Premiere By: Bethany Clancy
