Texas punk rockers RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS have released a new 7" vinyl record titled "RAMOTORHEAD," that pays tribute to the RAMONES and MOTORHEAD with covers of tracks "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg" (feat. CJ Ramone) and "No Voices In The Sky" (feat. Dave Krum Bum), respectively. The release is available now from Anxious & Angry Records on streaming services and on limited edition 7" vinyl.
RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS' cover of "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg" was previously revealed by BrooklynVegan, and today fans get to stream the band's take on MOTORHEAD's "No Voices In The Sky."
Commenting on the song, vocalist Mike Wiebe states:
"Motorhead are and will always be the ultimate unifier between punk, metal and rock n roll. They somehow managed to walk seamlessly between sub-genres that are all notoriously pretty picky and catty. Motorhead were by far the loudest band I've ever seen in my life. The 2nd loudest is such a far far distant 2nd. We kicked around doing a cover of this song forever and in the fun of getting collaborators we called in our buddy David Rodriguez (Casualties, Krum Bums, Starving Wolves) because he has the best screams in the biz and also because we just wanted to goof around with him in the studio and make fun of each other."
